(Finally) moving out!

It's been practically 6 months. That's over 180 days. That doesn't seem like a lot of time to be with someone before you move in with them, but we all sure as hell know every relationship is unique. Every relationship moves at different speeds. But I honestly believe that Taylor and I are ready, or trust me, I wouldn't be doing it!

The relationship Taylor and I have is so beyond anything I could've ever imagined having. I really got lucky when Mr. God gave me Taylor Scott Savage. He's kind, generous, and not to mention gorgeous! What he's good at, I'm usually bad at, and vice versa. (E.g.: I suck at English, yet he is so eloquent with his words he could win an argument in his sleep!) We are different enough, yet have enough in common to always have something to do together. Sometimes we just ramble on and on about nothing, and those are the greatest times!! We both want the same things out of life (one a little more ambitious and luxurious than the other (Taylor)). When we argue, yes it sucks, but when it's over we move on even stronger than before! He is faithful and trustworthy, strong when I am not, and just the man of my dreams! But wow, how I've rambled on about my love for Taylor. Back to moving out.

The plan (thus far) is for Taylor and I to move in with his friend Corey at Summer Lake in Longview. I'm excited about this for so many reasons! One, being that's less furniture we have to worry about getting. Two, Corey is an extreme couponer and clean like me. Three, we found a place! It's actually dinging in my head that I'm moving in with Taylor! We are starting a life together!

But what I need your help with is the main reason I posted this. Taylor gave me seniority over the bedroom. I can design it the way I see fit. And he has seniority over whatever else. I can't complain about what he gets, and vice versa. I'm excited that I get to play Nate Berkus.

So please, give me some ideas! I want the colors to be darker, no spring time colors. But they should still be warm. And it's gotta look modern! Yeah I know, I'm asking for a lot, but I will be sleeping in this room every night! I want to love it!

When you say darker colors and modern, I instantly thought of bachelor bedrooms. The 3rd link is something pulled up from google. The other two interested me. Since it's an apartment, you're probably not going to be allowed to paint or at least not a dark color without permission and then you would responsible for painting it back once you moved out.

You could use blacks, browns, burgundy and dark blues for everything all around. If you really want to change what the walls looks like but can't paint, I suggest getting fabric thick and large enough to tack against one wall as the focal point. Darker colors are going to make a room look smaller, but if you don't mind that, then go for it.

  5. I liked the first a lot too. It's low-key enough that you won't feel overpowered in the room and the lighter colors help it not seem to small.

Be sure to have a full size bed or bigger!

  7. Corey, how about Taylor and I just give you grocery money and you do all that? Haha. I WILL help cut the coupons though! :D Arts and crafts but with coupons.

Nikki, my aunt is giving us her queen size bed. It's one of those super tall beds you have to nearly jump up on. It's great. You'll have to come by when the moving is all done and stuff and check it out!
